The legacy of the socialist 50's and 60's is still visible in Zagreb. Some fine examples of imagery and architecture of the period are at the capital's Main Square. Very influential for us.

The Orson Welles film „The Trial“ has been shot in Zagreb (1961). Taking advantage of a somewhat absurd sceneries of the new grand-scale urbanism and architecture, an intriguing set up for the post-Kafka profile of the movie has been provided. Ulica proleterskih brigada as a new major road of the extended city is still a showcase of the 50's Modernism. Worth visiting.

The Croatian version of the corbusian Unite is a reference point, not only for our office. Drago Galic interpreted (1953) the slab housing in an inspired manner, manipulating the section even more efficiently than it's typological predecessor.
